Abstract

, a new hyphomycete classified in the Chaetomiaceae (Ascomycota), was isolated from soil in Jianshui county, Yunnan Province. It is characterized by globose and ochreous conidia born laterally on aerial hyphae, and micronematous, unbranched and 0–1-septate conidiophores, sometimes reduced to conidiogenous cells. Morphologically, is similar to , but it can be distinguished by lacking of macronematous conidiophores and having larger conidia. Phylogenetically formed a single clade within species, and is closely related to and .
