Abstract

is a family of negative-sense RNA viruses with genomes of about 17.2 kb that have been found in snakes. The sunvirid genome comprises nonsegmented RNA with six open reading frames (ORFs) >1 kb that are predicted to encode six proteins. This is a summary of the International Committee on Taxonomy of Viruses (ICTV) Report on the family , which is available at ictv.global/report/sunviridae.
