Abstract

Scope of the Journal. The Journal of General Virology aims to publish papers which describe original research in virology and contribute significantly to their field. It is concerned particularly with fundamental studies. Papers must be in English. Standard papers, short communications and review articles are published.

Papers that describe new materials or methods without applying them to research are generally not acceptable. Preliminary or inconclusive data will not be published. Papers dealing with clinical or epidemiological aspects of virology would be more appropriately published elsewhere.

Submission of papers. . A paper to be considered for publication should be sent to The Editorial Office, The Journal of General Virology, Harvest House, 62 London Road, Reading, RG1 5AS, U.K. Alternatively, it can be submitted directly to one of the Editors.

. Three sets of the typescript and figures should be supplied. Three copies of relevant papers cited as ‘in press’ should also be provided.
