Abstract

SUMMARY

In tobacco ( cv. Xanthi-nc) actinomycin D inhibits the resistance to tobacco mosaic virus that is induced by polyacrylic acid or by earlier infection with potato virus Y. Formation of the additional proteins associated with this resistance is also prevented.
