Abstract

SUMMARY

A cell-free system synthesizing FMDV RNA has been shown to be inhibited efficiently by purified FV3 particles. Neither vaccinia nor herpes virus particles produced this effect. The results obtained provide direct evidence that a structural component (or components) or FV3 is responsible for the inhibition.
