Abstract

is a rapidly growing nonpathogenic species of the family of bacteria that can cause pulmonary and disseminated disease in particular in immunocompromised individuals. Here we describe a first case of matrix-assisted laser desorption/ionization-time of flight (MALDI-TOF) mass-spectrometry (MS) identification of this pathogen in a patient with non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma during chemoimmunotherapy salvage treatment, and its impact on clinical decision making.
