Synthesis of Cellulase by Mucor pusillus and Mucor miehei Free

Abstract

SUMMARY: Strains of and were found to synthesize -1,4-glucan glucanohydrolase (cellulase) in a complex medium. The inducible enzyme complex hydrolysed carboxymethylcellulose, acid-swollen cellulose and unmodified cellulose.
