Uptake of tryptophan and indoleacetic acid appeared to be mediated by separate transport systems on the basis of differences in competitive interactions between tryptophan and indoleacetic acid, kinetics of transport, the pH range, and osmotic shock treatment of cells. %U https://www.microbiologyresearch.org/content/journal/micro/10.1099/00221287-72-2-211
