At 35° pigmentation lagged behind growth after 3 days, growth and pigmentation showed similar maxima at 25°. The bacterium appeared to synthesize five carotenoids, at least two of which have the same chromophore and are keto-carotenoids. %U https://www.microbiologyresearch.org/content/journal/micro/10.1099/00221287-55-3-337
