Abstract

SUMMARY: By irradiating with X-rays (AlOC) in the dry state, mutants have been obtained differing from the parent strain in specific growth-factor requirements. About half of the mutants differ from the parent, not in having an absolute requirement for a nutrilite, but in having a longer lag-phase without it.
