Abstract

SUMMARY: Virus-like structures were accidentally discovered by electron-microscopy in the blood of adult house crickets which had no external signs of disease.

During an examination by electron-microscopy of haemolymph clots of insects, granular bodies were found by chance in preparations from the house cricket (). These structures are briefly described in the following note.
