Abstract

SUMMARY

The nutritional requirements of the Gram-negative Bacterium 8250 (formerly referred to as ‘Vibrio 01’) have been determined. Growth was tested on almost 450 compounds, of which over 100 served as carbon+energy sources and almost 50 as nitrogen sources. The effects of various factors such as pH value, temperature and aeration on the growth rate and cell yield of organism have also been measured.
