The effect of streptomycin on the morphology of M. phlei is comparable with that of penicillin on the morphology of organisms belonging to the Enterobacteriaceae. The transfer of aberrant forms of M. phlei to a streptomycin-free medium resulted in the atypical multiplication of these forms.", }
