SUMMARY: Crosses between two mutant strains derived from Vibrio cholerae, one requiring valine and isoleucine and the other arginine and purine, yielded recombinants when seeded together on a minimal medium containing l-asparagine. Other markers such as resistance or sensitivity to streptomycin and a lytic choleraphage, which were unselected under the experimental conditions, also segregated in the recombinants.
