These complex materials could be replaced by comparable concentrations of porphyrin-containing compounds and by extremely low concentrations of ferrichrome, coprogen, or terregens factor, which are thought to act as intracellular ‘iron transport factors’. %U https://www.microbiologyresearch.org/content/journal/micro/10.1099/00221287-21-1-72
