The organism reproduces by polar budding and possesses a distinct and easily demonstrated nucleus. The life cycle includes alternation of motile and non-motile stages. Motile cells possess a single flagellum which is 20 times longer than the cell body. The flagellum is laterally attached to the cell. The organism is related to the family Pasteuriaceae.", }
