Abstract

SUMMARY: A survey of cytidine diphosphate compounds in representative species of Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria has been made. Cytidine diphosphate glycerol and cytidine diphosphate ribitol, first discovered in 17/5, were also found in Cytidine diphosphate glycerol was found in and cytidine diphosphate ribitol in No correlation between the presence of cytidine nucleotides and the Gram reaction was found.
