Abstract

The mRNA for the adaptive enzyme isocitrate lyase (ICL) from Chlorella fusca has been identified by fractionation of total poly(A)-containing RNA and in vitro translation followed by immune precipitation. The M r of ICL mRNA was approximately 8·0 x 105, which is in good agreement with a previous estimate obtained by in vivo double-labelling.
