Abstract

Two new ballistosporogenous yeasts, and , are described. was isolated from strawberries, cauliflowers and watercress, and from cauliflowers and cabbage. Unlike and , these new species could not utilize lactose; was distinguishable from by the ability of the former to utilize melibiose.
