Ethyl methanesulphonate, methyl methanesulphonate, decarbamoyl mitomycin C, nitrous acid and gamma radiation did not mutate R. trifolii P3. N-Methyl-N′-nitro-N-nitrosoguanidine (MNNG) and ultraviolet radiation were both mutagenic, the former being the more effective.
