Abstract

SUMMARY: The presence of 10 μ-Cu increased the lethal effect of hydrogen peroxide on spores of but not on those of PA 3679, or var. . Cu at 100 μ. also increased the lethal effect of heat on spores of but not on those of var. . The rate and extent of Cu uptake by spores of and var. were similar, but examination of unstained sections of spores by electron microscopy suggested that Cu is bound by the protoplasts of spores of but not of var. .
