Abstract

Nasal carriage of is commonly evaluated via culture-based methods. We found that parallel use of two media, Baird-Parker and CHROMagar™ Staph aureus, increased detection of from a healthy population by 29 %. We suggest use of both media for optimal identification of from healthy cohorts.
