Abstract

We describe a case of septic arthritis caused by in a 15-year-old boy with chronic haemolytic anaemia. was identified by 16S rRNA gene sequence analysis. The patient outcome was favourable. To our knowledge, this is the first case of septic arthritis in an asplenic patient.
