Abstract

Summary

The behaviour of the biologically active components present in crude δ haemolysin was followed during various fractionation procedures utilised in the purification of δ haemolysin. Most chromatographic techniques yielded multiple peaks of δ haemolysin. None of the procedures completely separated δ haemolysin from the other components of crude culture filtrates. Efforts to purify δ haemolysin should be renewed.
