Endotoxic lipopolysaccharide (LPS) from Escherichia coli and synthetic E. coli -type lipid A (LA-15-PP) enhanced VEGF mRNA expression. LPS-induced VEGF mRNA accumulation was regulated, at least in part, at the transcriptional level.
