Here, we report the use of an inbred MBT/Pas mouse model that consistently reproduces RVF disease and serves our purpose for testing the efficacy of vaccine candidates; an attenuated Rift Valley fever virus (RVFV) and a recombinant RVFV–capripoxvirus.
