Abstract

SUMMARY

A physical map for the genome of (imported cabbageworm) granulosis virus (PrGV) was prepared using the restriction endonucleases HI, RI, dIII, I, II and I. The size of the genome was estimated to be 106·5 kbp. PrGV DNA sequences homologous to GV granulin gene sequences and to some nuclear polyhedrosis virus RI fragment sequences were located by Southern blotting. Linear organization of the two baculoviruses was compared.
