Abstract

SUMMARY

Preparations of highly concentrated simian foamy virus type 1 (SFV1) agglutinate guinea pig red blood cells. The agglutination occurs both at 22° and 37°C. It is inhibited by specific antisera against SFV1 but also by antisera prepared against several other types of simian foamy viruses.
