Abstract

SUMMARY

When tris-HCL was used as the buffer for inoculation of tomato protoplasts with tobacco mosaic virus, a greater proportion became infected than when phosphate was used. Using 0.05 -tris-HCl buffer, pH 8.0, in the presence of poly--ornithine or poly--lysine, 50 to 80% infection was obtained.
