Abstract

SUMMARY

This paper presents the results obtained from a comparative study of some growth and antigenic properties of four subclones of hamster cells transformed by SR-RSV. A positive correlation was found between the growth potential of the cells in soft agarose containing dextran sulphate, and the degree to which they expressed the surface antigen (VISA) induced by the Schmidt-Ruppin strain of Rous sarcoma virus (SR-RSV).
