Abstract

The prokaryotic generic names Sorokin 1994, Vandamme . 1999 and Togo . 2017 are illegitimate because they are later homonyms of Hindák 1977, Van Tieghem 1884 and Collignon 1966, respectively (Principle 2 and Rules 51b(5) and 51b(4) of the International Code of Nomenclature of Prokaryotes). We, therefore, propose the replacement generic names , and , with type species , and , respectively.
