The phylogenetic tree based on 16S rRNA gene sequences showed that strain HME9302T formed a lineage within the genus Altererythrobacter , and was most closely related to Altererythrobacter aurantiacus O30T with 96.7 % sequence similarity. The major fatty acids were summed feature 8 (comprising C18 : 1ω7c and/or C18 : 1ω6c), summed feature 3 (comprising C16 : 1ω7c and/or C16 : 1ω6c) and C16 : 0. The major respiratory quinone was ubiquinone-10. The major polar lipids were diphosphatidylglycerol, phosphatidylglycerol, phosphatidylethanolamine, phosphatidylcholine, sphingoglycolipid and four unidentified lipids. The DNA G+C content was 60.8 mol%. On the basis of the evidence presented in this study, strain HME9302T represents a novel species of the genus Altererythrobacter , for which the name Altererythrobacter maritimus sp. nov. is proposed with the type strain HME9302T (=KCTC 32463T=KACC 17617T=CECT 8417T).", }
