Confirmation of (formerly ) as a distinct species of the genus Moreira and Amils 1997 with comments on some species currently assigned to the genus Free

Abstract

The transfer of to the genus as a distinct species, (type strain NBRC 14566), is confirmed by its morphological and physiological properties, DNA–DNA hybridization and the grouping of its 16S rRNA gene sequence with those of other species of the genus. An emended formal description of is given. The status of DSM 5495 as a member of the genus is reconsidered.
