Reclassification of De Bel 2013 as subsp. subsp. nov. and emended description of Pantucek 2013 Free

Abstract

The type and clinical strains of two recently described coagulase-negative species of the genus and , were compared using , , , and gene sequences, DNA–DNA hybridization, ribotyping, repetitive sequence-based PCR fingerprinting and extensive biochemical characterization. Based on the results, the species description of has been emended and should be reclassified as a novel subspecies within for which the name subsp. subsp. nov. is proposed. The type strain is SEQ110 ( = LMG 26879 = CCUG 62657 = DSM 26618 = CCM 8494).
