Abstract

ATCC 14403, ATCC 6872 and two clinical isolates were found to form a single taxon group consistent with the genus , designated here as comb. nov. The type strain of is ATCC 14403 =CCUG 43497 =CIP 104228 =DSM 20302 =NBRC 12144 =JCM 11611 =VKM B-1228. These strains can utilize citrate; therefore, inclusion of requires that the description of the genus be amended to include citrate-positive strains.
