Abstract

It is proposed that the type strain of Shibata 1959 is IFO 3782 (= No. 43797), which is the originally designated type strain, and not ATCC 21273 as given in the Approved Lists. The level of DNA relatedness between IFO 3782 and ATCC 21273 is 30%, indicating that they are different species.
