Abstract

We propose the transfer of and to the genus as (Omura et al.) comb. nov. and (ex Celmer et al.) sp. nov. based on the similarity of their morphological and chemotaxonomical properties to those of this genus: a cell wall composition of type IV, lack of mycolic acids, menaquinones MK-9(H, H), -branched fatty acids, type II phospholipid pattern, and lack of budding. The type strain of is DSM 43854 (NRRL 11412), and that of is DSM 43855 (ATCC 31181).
