Our results indicate that some motile, nonpigmented strains are members of Enterococcus gallinarum, whereas motile, yellow-pigmented strains belong to Enterococcus casseliflavus. Four nonmotile, yellow-pigmented strains were biochemically and genetically distinct from all previously described Enterococcus species and constitute a new species, for which the name Enterococcus mundtii is proposed. The type strain of Enterococcus mundtii is strain NCDO 2375. %U https://www.microbiologyresearch.org/content/journal/ijsem/10.1099/00207713-36-1-8
