Antigenic Relationships Between O Antigens 0149 to 0163 and O Antigens Free

Abstract

Abstract

O antigens 0149 to 0163 are recent additions to the antigenic scheme. Their antigenic relationships with serovars were examined. O antigen identity was demonstrated between 0149 and 1 and between 0152 and provisional serovar 3341-55. A reciprocal relationship was found between 0159 and 4 but identity was not demonstrated. The remaining O antigens were not significantly related to any serovar.
