Abstract

The thermal denaturation profiles () of six strains of were determined. The mol% G+C of five of the strains ranged from 55.0 to 58.0. The mol% G+C of the strain referred to as streptococcal variant S fell short of this range (42.5), suggesting that it is substantially different from the others and perhaps improperly identified.
