Abstract

Two strains isolated from the human oral cavity exhibit cultural and serological properties distinguishing them from the known human species. Further, a variety of cultural and serological procedures fail to identify the strains with any of a wide range of tested. The strains are described as a new species under the name previously referred to as () of the family The type strain is MaBy (=ATCC 27104).
