The Society is pleased to announce that Professor Paul Duprex from Boston University, USA, has been appointed as the new Deputy Editor-in-Chief.
Paul has been an Editor of Journal of General Virology since 2013, with specific research interests in negative stranded RNA viruses, pathogenesis and vaccinology. Paul has over 15 years’ experience as a molecular virologist and his laboratory has developed reverse genetics systems for both positive and negative strand RNA viruses.
Currently his group focuses on respiratory paramyxoviruses. He will continue handling submissions to the journal in these subject areas and will work closely with Editor-in-Chief Professor Mark Harris on promotion of the journal, ethical issues and editorial strategies. The Society warmly welcomes him to this new position.
